six_events aimed to turn ordinary, everyday events into performances. Six simple activities, getting on a bus, walking down a road or buying an item in a supermarket, were to be presented/performed over six days at the end of January 2008. Each event contained internal tasks, which allowed the performer to look and listen for the art and music constantly surrounding them, rather than being the passive consumers of Art created by others. The simplicity of the events made performers begin to question why they were doing these things in the first place. Participants hailed from nearly thirty countries worldwide.
